This is the palate cleanser I needed today, because it involves two of my most favorite things in the world: beer and country music. Instead of getting into fights with strangers on Twitter, they put up a sign inviting everyone over to crush beers in their driveway. Because 'Merica, that's why.

The news report went viral, and a country legend decided they didn't have nearly enough brewskis.

"I came out black, he came out white, let's have a beer." Ellis said. "Alcohol brings people together, and we like to smile and laugh, so it's perfect."

Really, when it comes to someone who supports the heeling and unifying power of the sauce, few people are more qualified than Paisley.

The best part about this is the white and black people who took them up on the offer most likely didn't even talk about what's going on. It's upstate New York, so they're more likely to find unity over what assclowns Andrew Cuomo and Bill DeBlasio are. If other things came up, most people were probably in agreement. George Floyd's murder was bad. Rioting and looting are bad. Most cops aren't bad. Police reforms are needed. Then the folding table came out, and everyone partook in an interracial game of flip cup and/or beer pong.

Because again, I can't stress this enough...'Merica.
