Oh Joy: Climate Group Will Spend $80 Million To Tout Biden’s Environmental Record
Climate Power, a Climate activism group, has committed $80 million in funds to promote Biden's policies. The ad campaign is meant to inform voters about Biden’s climate agenda, according to CNN.
You would think with $80 million you could do a lot to 'fight climate change' and all that mumbo jumbo. But I guess they think that money will be spent better on TV ads to get Sleepy Joe elected.
“Can $80 million teach Americans what's in @POTUS ' clean energy plan? Here at @ClimatePower , we're banking on it 🤑,” according to an X post that was retweeted by Climate Power.
I am sure this will be very good for the environment.
The ads will target young voters and Spanish-speaking voters as they are launched digitally and on television ahead of the 2024 election.
“Voters—especially key groups like Latinos and younger voters—are on board with the clean energy transition and want to see it move faster,” according to its website.
Why not pay for all those people to get solar panels or whatever it is they want to mandate everyone to do? Would that not control the weather more than Spanish commercials?
A statement on Climate Power’s website says, “This moment in history requires bold thinking and bold action. To defeat the climate crisis. To deliver environmental justice. To create millions of good-paying, union jobs in a clean energy economy. To build America back BETTER.”
The group also plans to hold in-person events in key battleground states including Arizona and Michigan.
Yes, in Michigan. The state with at least 159,100 jobs supported by natural gas and oil. The same industry that contributed $14.6 billion to the state’s economy in 2015.
“People overwhelmingly support what President Biden has done to combat climate change — but only if they hear about it,” Climate Power's executive director, Lori Lodes said. “Our campaign plans to bridge the information gap around the clean energy plan by meeting Americans where they are and telling the story of our climate progress.”
Well, according to a Washington Post/University of Maryland poll from July, about 57% of Americans disapproved of how Biden has handled the issue of climate change.
Biden also received the endorsement of LCV Action Fund, NextGen PAC, the Sierra Club, and the NRDC Action Fund. According to CNN, this is the first time the four climate groups have jointly endorsed someone for president.
Biden has separately received the endorsement of the radical youth-led climate group the Sunrise Movement.
Energy prices are soaring as inflation rises through the roof. I really do not see how trying to convince voters that Biden can control the weather will somehow fix that. And energy prices have only been increasing since Biden took office.
Every summer Democrats tend to complain about hot weather, even though it used to once be considered a natural phenomenon.
Rather than spending so much money for the media to broadcast a 30-second message, why don't they spend that money and put air conditioning in low-income households?
But I guess if we actually tried to make effective changes, Hilary could not blame Republicans for summer.
I have a feeling, but this is only a feeling, that if Hilary was elected in 2016, Phoenix would still have over 19 days of 110-degree weather. But that is just a guess.
