Biden sends email to more than 800,000 student loan borrowers to let them know that taxpayers forgave their debt
Tuesday, President Biden sent an email that should have been an apology for the federal government's usurpation of the education system, but instead, informed more than 800,0000 student loan borrowers that taxpayers forgave their student loan debt.
That's right, more than 800,000 borrowers are set to receive emails from President Biden informing them that their debt was forgiven.
Here is what the email said, according to Axios:
"I hope this relief gives you a little more breathing room."
"I've heard from countless people who have told me that relieving the burden of student loan debt will allow them to support themselves and their families, or move forward with life plans they've put on hold."
"I'm proud that we were able to give borrowers like you the relief you earned," the email said. "I promise you that as long as I am President, I will never stop fighting for hardworking American families."
In August, the Supreme Court struck down Biden's student loan forgiveness program. But, Biden's administration has canceled more than $48 million in student loan debt.
President Joe Biden's administration has granted a total of more than $127 billion in student debt forgiveness for nearly 3.6 million people.
U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona claimed the Biden administration was, "standing up for borrowers who did everything right, but whose progress toward forgiveness went unaccounted due to past administrative errors."
One "X" account explained how Biden's debt forgiveness would "relieve a significant burden for countless Americans."
The federal government has made a mess of the public education system. Mostly due to the founder's view that education should be a matter of local and state only. Meaning. the federal government was never given the power to issue student loans, because the federal government should not take in more money than is required to cover the cost of doing government business. Public education is not the federal government's business.
So, Biden's email demonstrates why the federal government will always fail when it acts beyond the power it was granted.
