Sleepy Joe’s campaign just produced a new ad, targeting President Donald Trump. Today’s show breaks down this exploitation of Trump’s political conviction.

The basic premise of the ad is that Trump is a felon who only cares about himself.

"The idea that Donald Trump is a criminal who stands to gain more personally than Joe Biden is so far around the bend I am amazed more people are not talking about," Crowder said.

According to Fox News:

The new ad, titled "Character Matters," highlights the verdict in New York v. Trump, when a jury found the former president and presumptive Republican nominee guilty on all 34 counts of falsifying business records in the first degree. Trump pleaded not guilty to the charges and has vowed to appeal the decision.

"This election is between a convicted criminal who is only out for himself, and a president who is fighting for your family," the ad says, highlighting Trump’s legal challenges and saying the president has been focusing on "lowering health care costs and making big corporations pay their fair share."

This is part of Sleepy Joe’s $50 million media campaign for June.

The Trump campaign said the new ad "once again proves the sham trial was always meant to be election interference, but Americans see through it."

"He didn't lower healthcare costs, he didn't make corporations pay their fair share, this has been the biggest wealth transfer that has occurred in modern Americans history," Crowder said.

"[They] are talking about the felonies [they] created," Crowder said. "No one can really point to the actual crime committed."

At best, "this is an accounting issue." There is also no personal gain with these alleged "crimes."

"These crimes can't really be named, they didn't have precedent establishing these as actual crimes or felonies, and there were no actual victims involved," Crowder said.

The presidential debate will air on June 27.
