As the date for Elon Musk to take the reins at Twitter—that is if Musk isn’t too displeased with the number of bots—the powers that be are converging to stand in his way to bring free speech to the platform. Nothing would upset the left more.

The Biden Administration attempted to stand up a Disinformation Government Board, but once people pointed out how dystopian the idea was, the DGB fell apart faster than CNN+. But where the government failed—like the government is apt to do—the private sector has assumed the responsibility for taking down Musk’s Twitter.

A collection of organizations decided to collaborate, writing an open letter asking companies to boycott Twitter if Musk dares to open the free speech floodgates. Well, now we know, thanks to Breitbart, that eleven of those organizations have been funded with millions of dollars from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Four organizations that receive funding from Gates’ foundation—New Venture Fund, Tides Foundation, Empowering Pacific Islanders Community, and Reproaction—are directly linked to eleven of the letter’s signatories.

Bill Gates is a proponent of numerous leftist causes. There’s no doubt he’s no fan of free speech when it runs counter to the left’s position. He’s also probably not Elon’s biggest fan, either. Not since Musk hit him right in the gut with some expert-level trolling.

Corporations often bend the knee to such ridiculous leftist demands, but there’s no word yet if any companies have decided to come out publicly, promising to boycott Twitter. It’s still early, though. There’s still plenty of time, and the effort to derail Musk will only become more desperate.
