You might have heard the tale of Bill Maher crossing his fingers and hoping for a recession. After all, when it comes to landing a blow on our tangerine-hued POTUS, anything goes for a lefty. Even the U.S. economy going into a nosedive.

Naturally, people who don't like being broke and unemployed thought the bad juju Bill was wishing on America was a tad out of line. None of that is phasing Bill. In fact, he's doubling down:

Earlier this month, Maher had a panel discussion about the economy and how the “bottom has to fall out at some point” and that he was “hoping for it.”

“Because I think one way you get rid of Trump is a crashing economy,” Maher previously said. “So please, bring on the recession. Sorry if that hurts people, but it’s either root for a recession  or you lose your democracy.”

Maher faced some backlash for his remarks. And now, he’s fighting back.

“Anyone who went apesh*t the last two weeks because I said going through a recession would be worth it if it meant undermining Trump’s popularity has to enroll in college and take a course in perspective,” Maher began. “A recession is a survivable event. What Trump is doing to this country is not.”

Well, one thing's for sure.

According to Billy, America is on the verge of becoming a dystopian wasteland of low taxes, secure borders, and being free to do what you want. Horrific. Really, it sounds like it's not America who's in danger of dying out. It's Leftism that seems more on the verge of making the endangered list.

I'll give Billiam credit for sticking to his California-compliant, single-shot magazine-restricted guns. He has every right to be a dickbag who wants the economy to tank faster than the kayaks at a fat pride retreat. Likewise, we have the right to call Bill a smug leftist douchelord when he acts like a smug leftist douchelord. End of story.
