Bill Maher Defends Laura Ingraham Against Leftist Boycotters
Bill Maher is generally a leftist tool, but occasionally he gets something right. Which is exactly what happened when the subject of Laura Ingraham's spat with David Hogg came up. Bill's fellow lefties are trying to erase Ingraham for daring to disagree with Hogg.
Bill, on the other hand, is defending Laura against the leftist Thought Police:
Comedian and progressive talk show host Bill Maher defended Fox News anchor Laura Ingraham on Friday, arguing with guests on his HBO show that a boycott led by Parkland, Fla., school shooting survivor David Hogg was un-American.“I want to defend Laura Ingraham,” Maher told the audience.
"He is in the arena, and then he calls for a boycott of her sponsors," Maher continued, referring to Hogg, a student survivor of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in February.
"He complains about bullying? That’s bullying!" the host continued. "I have been the victim of a boycott ... I've lost a job as a result. It is wrong. You shouldn’t do this by team, you should do it by principle."
So, there still exists a leftist who isn't hellbent on silencing people who disagree with him. Consider my mind blown.
To be clear, boycotting is a form of free speech, I know. That doesn't make it any less douchetastic. Boycotts are free speech aimed at shutting down free speech. If enough leftists line up outside Fox News with pitchforks and torches, they can get anyone fired for any reason. Even if they've done nothing wrong. That's hardly free speech in principle.
Leftists are attempting to ruin people's lives for the sin of having their own opinion. All Bill is saying is it's possible to disagree with people without unpersoning them. Though, I highly doubt his message will penetrate the thick skulls of pea-brained lefties.
