The first headline I saw this morning was about Bill Maher calling republicans "nazis." Ok, whatever. Maher went too far last week having a rational discussion about abortion and needed to make his left-wing base like him again. Turns out he was softening the blow before he chose violence later in the show. He criticized LGBTQ activism. To be clear, he didn't choose actual violence. He chose violence in the way ultra-radical progressives think that words are "violence."

Bill Maher is of the belief that when things change as radically as we're told they do from generation to generation, it's not [solve for x]-phobic to ask why.

"According to a recent Gallup poll, less than 1% of Americans born before 1946, that's Joe Biden's generation, identify that way, 2.6% of Boomers do, 4.2% of Gen X, 10.5% of Millennials and 20.8% of Gen Z, which means if we follow this trajectory, we will all be gay in 2054. I'm just saying that when things change this much this fast, people are allowed to ask, 'What's up with that?'"

Joe Rogan echoed similar sentiments recently. In conversations with high school students, they told Rogan that a lot of it IS trendy. Saying you're on the LGBTQ spectrum is "preferred and rewarded. And you’re looked down on if you’re heterosexual.’"

The problem is that trends and phases pass, but some parents are allowing their kids to go through life-altering surgeries over what could be a "phase." Maher pointed out that in Sweden and Finland, they have stopped giving puberty blockers to kids because "we just don't know much about the long-term effects." The comedian can't help but notice that everyone in Los Angeles appears to have a "trans kid." He doubts that's the same in Youngstown, Ohio.

"If we can't admit that in certain enclaves there was some level of trendiness to the idea of being anything other than straight, then this is not a serious, science-based discussion. It's a blow being struck in the culture wars using children as cannon fodder."

As of this writing, there is not a nationwide trend demanding HBO cancel Bill Maher. Give it time though. More bloggers need to wake up.
