Bill Maher is going to do most of the talking here since Facebook has gotten more liberal (pun intended) about throttling anything pandemic-adjacent. Which has a whiff of irony since I'd guess the Facebook employees doing the throttling are the anti-science panic porn addicts Maher calls out here. Consuming the same liberal media that has been promoting invalid truths about anything 'rona related. Leaving Democrats to be the MOST misinformed on some fundamental pandemic facts.

In other words, don't blame Tucker Carlson. Blames yourselves.

But what about liberals? You know, the "high information," "buy the science" people? In a recent Gallup survey, Democrats did much worse than Republicans in getting the right answer to the fundamental question "what are the chances that someone who gets COVID will need to be hospitalized?" The answer is between one and five percent. 41% OF DEMOCRATS THOUGHT IT WAS OVER FIFTY PERCENT. Another 28% put that chances between 20 to 49%. So almost SEVENTY PERCENT of Democrats are wildly off on this key question.

[They] also have a greatly exaggerated view of the danger of COVID too, and the mortality rate among, children. All of which explains why the states with the highest share of schools that are still closed are all blue states.

So if the "right-wing media bubble" needs to own things like "climate change denial," shouldn't liberal media have to answer for "how did your audience wind up believing such a bunch of crap about COVID?"

Liberal media SHOULD have to answer for it, but they won't. They'll keep up the panic porn and if all else fails, launch hit pieces on the few Republican governors with the courage to push back against the narrative. Like Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, a man who Bill Maher begrudgingly admits may have known what he was talking about all along.

So the next time someone wearing three masks calls you "anti-science," your response is simple. Eight words: I know you are, but what am I?
