I don't know what's going on. I don't know if it's just the fact that people are quicker to whip out their phones and start recording everything or if bears have gone empty on f*cks to give, but I am loving all the videos of junk food-loving bears.

A few days ago, we wrote about the bear that waltzed into a northern California 7-Eleven and started raiding the candy aisle for its favorite treats. Today, it's a bear that decided he didn't want the humans to finish off all the cake before he got a crack at them. WTNH reports that the bear simply walked out of the woods and "sauntered over to the picnic table," as party attendees screamed, gathered up children, and made for inside.

I'm sorry, but this video just makes me want to go make the dude a hot dog or something. Something savory to offset all that sugar he seems to be fond of.

The news outlet notes that, "in these types of situations, the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) encourages people to yell at the bear and make lots of noise."

First, that doesn't seem to work. People at the party reportedly did a lot of yelling.

Second, don't tell me how to live my life, government. You suck.

Third, I've always wanted a pet bear... They're like really big dogs, and I like dogs.

We've gotten off-topic. Needless to say, I'd probably be pretty scared if a bear just decided to walk up to my kiddo's birthday party. But when it happens to someone else, I get to sit back, relax, and enjoy watching a cute little bear scarf down cupcakes, and isn't that what the internet is all about?
