Stats Show Black Unemployment Levels Just Hit a Record Low...
The good news just keeps coming. We've already kicked off 2018 with ultimatums to terrorist-supporting Pakistan and we're already seeing benefits from the tax cuts. Now there's this. The new Bureau of Labor Statistics numbers are out and unemployment levels are looking as good as Kate Upton in a skimpy two-piece. Especially for our African-American compadres. Or is that "people of color"? I never can keep up. Regardless, black unemployment rate has never been lower.
Unemployment among black workers is at its lowest since at least the early 1970s, when the government began tracking the data. The black unemployment rate of 6.8 percent in December was the lowest since the Bureau of Labor Statistics started tracking it in 1972, a year in which the rate ranged from 11.2 percent to 9.4 percent. In the 45 years the data has been tracked, the unemployment rate for black or African-American workers aged 16 years and older has never fallen below 7 percent.
Wait just a minute. Trump is supposed to be a card-carrying Klan member, right? If that's the case, shouldn't black unemployment be inching toward the 100% mark? Instead of dropping like Harvey Weinstein's drawers in the presence of an unsuspecting starlet? This is confusing on so many levels.
I'm not going to go full #MAGA and claim these marvelous numbers are entirely Trump's doing. Black unemployment has been on a steady decline for a few years now. But, this is the first time the record was broken. Bad news for leftists trying to make the Donald look like the worst thing to happen to black people since slavery. They claimed Trump would make black people's lives hell. Instead, the opposite is happening.
When the government steps out of the way and allows businesspeople to do business? Magic happens. Everyone's lives improve, not just the people at the top. I'd expect even more good news like this in the near future.
