Bloomberg Savages Bernie: 'You're a Socialist Who Owns Three Homes' [VIDEO]
The conventional wisdom from last night's Democrat debate is that Mike Bloomberg had a horrible night. It was definitely "pile on the billionaire," from what I understand. I wasn't watching. Wednesdays are for AEW and I opted to see Cody Rhodes hit a sweet-ass moonsault off of the top of a steel cage instead. But during the less believable, more scripted fight on MSNBC, while everyone was piling on the billionaire, Bloomy was throwing elbows back at all the millionaires attacking him for being a billionaire. Specifically, Millionaire-Dollar Bernie, the socialist with three homes.
What a wonderful country we have! The best-known socialist in the country happens to be a millionaire with three houses! What'd I miss here?
As detestable a person as Bloomberg is, he's not wrong. Plus, we all remember when Bernie used to rant about billionaires AND millionaires. Then Bernie became a millionaire himself. Suddenly, only billionaires were the problem (see also Bernie Sanders Claims Socialism is ‘Economic Freedom’ and WATCH: Bernie Sanders Says You WANT To Pay MORE in Taxes).
Bloomberg also had issues with Bernie's entire political belief system. When asked if he as a business owner would support Bernie's socialist policies, he said, "F*ck that noise!" OK, not really. But you can tell he wanted to.
We're not going to throw out capitalism. We tried that, other countries tried that. It was called communism, and it just didn't work.
Here's the big thing about last night. The conventional wisdom is that Mike Bloomberg choked. He wasted half a billion dollars in TV ads to throw it all away during the debate. Maybe he did. Honestly, I've given up trying to figure out the primary. I will say this, though. Everything they are saying about Bloomberg this morning, they also said after any number of Donald Trump's debate performances four years ago. Let that sink in.
