"There are a lot of suspicious circumstances..." Diving Deep into the Boeing Whistleblower's Mysterious (ahem) "Suicide!"
Boeing whistleblower John Barnett suddenly died of a “self-inflicted” gunshot wound. Today’s show dives deep into that story.
The whistleblower who publicly raised doubts about Boeing's production standards was found dead.
The Charleston County Coroner's Office told Fox News Digital that John Barnett, 62, died from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound on Saturday. Barnett was cross-examined by Boeing's lawyers and his own attorney days before he died.
Barnett, who worked as a quality control engineer for Boeing for over 30 years, was supposed to appear in court on Saturday to answer some questions but he was found dead in his car in a hotel parking lot.
In 2019, Barnett told the BBC that Boeing would rush to get its 787 Dreamliner jets off the production line, compromising safety."When you have two companies supplying 99 percent of an industry and no one else can enter into that space, you end up stagnation and no innovation," Crowder said. "Selfish corporations would cease to exist if not for government intervention because there is a direct relationship with a consumer and they no longer support them."
He alleged the emergency oxygen systems that were made for 787 Dreamliners had a failure rate of 25%. This meant that a quarter of 787 Dreamliners had the potential to rapidly lose oxygen if the cabins were suddenly decompressed, suffocating passengers.
Barnett said that he had encountered these issues when he began working at Boeing's North Charleston plant in 2010. He reportedly raised his concerns to his managers, but did not see them take any action.
Uncoincidentally, this is not the first whistleblower to die under mysterious circumstances.
There was the former Enron executive, J. Clifford Baxter, who was found shot dead in 2002. There was Seth Rich, the DNC staffer who was shot in his back after it was alleged that he had been in contact with WikiLeaks. His death was labeled as a "botched robbery" but nothing was stolen. Pentagon investigator Steven Luke was also found dead in the trunk of his car.
"There are a lot of suspicious circumstances surrounding this and we do not have all the details. This has happened quite a bit and what happens is that the media never covers it," Crowder said. "You need to trust your instincts."
What do you think about John Barnett's sudden death?
