The border crisis is Joe Biden's original sin. It's the first thing he screwed up on the long list of mistakes, whoopsies, and mind-numbing incompetency. The border crisis is ongoing. It only gets mentioned in the media if the media can attack immigration officials. And it's starting to take a toll on our border agents who have been forced to act like travel agents and not officers of the law enforcing our border policies. You may find yourself asking, "But Brodigan, what policies?" That's an excellent question and one agents in Laredo, Texas, are demanding their supervisors' answer.

Washington Examiner obtained the following video. It was supposed to be a "rallying the troops" speech by Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz. The troops had a different idea.

"For evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing. That’s exactly what’s happening here. Good men are doing nothing. You’re allowing illegal aliens to be dropped off in our communities.”

Ortiz told his agents that they are getting bogged down in the "policies" and the "politics." In other words, just shut up and follow orders. The rub is that the policies and the politics are preventing the border patrol agents from doing their job of protecting and securing the border. The politics are why if they do their jobs and the wrong activist sends an out-of-context photo to the media, the agents know they're getting thrown under the bus. Not unlike cities in Texas along the southern border.

These agents signed up to do a job. The policies and politics are preventing them from doing that job. And the people responsible for the policies and politics think the agents are the bad guys. I'd challenge my supervisor, too.
