There's been a lot of debate going on regarding Muslim headscarves (see Germany Fed Up? Intern Refuses to Remove Hijab. Gets Fired...). In Bosnia, a writer recently criticized Islam. For what, you ask? Forcing its women to waltz around in oppressive face blankies. Apparently that didn't go over well with some. Their response? Death threats and promises of violence. Naturally.

In a controversial article, Lejla Colak said forcing women to wear the Islamic headscarf was like forcing them to strap a sex toy to their heads. Twisted online trolls have launched a sick hate campaign against the Bosnian reporter, offering a cash prize if anyone kills or rapes her.

One social media user wrote "Are there any volunteers to rape lovely Lejla? I will personally pay for it" while others called for her to be burnt alive.

It's worth mentioning that those "twisted trolls"? They aren't just any online lurkers. Let's use our deductive reasoning here. Who would be upset, to the point of violence, over something hijab-related?

Yeah. I get a sneaking suspicion those death/rape threats were being tweeted from the prayer mat (see Muslim Girl Refuses to Wear Headscarf. Refugees Erupt Into Riot...). Strange, I've yet to see any "moderate" Muslims come out in defense of her right to free speech. Or life. Just an observation.

Lejla resorted to hiding for safety reasons. But when it comes to the heart of the matter, she apologized none.

"Everything I said I mean. I can apologize for the the form but not for the content. Yes, religion - all of them - should be a private matter."

Religion of Peace?

The gal clearly made her case against Islam. Whether you agree with her views on religion or not, most functioning brains can come to a similar conclusion. We don't rape people for disagreeing with us. Islam, on the other hand? Loads of rapeyness going on. And burning people alive.

You know who else resorts to extreme measures over offending words? Many a leftist (Irony Alert: Liberals Outrage By 12-Year-Old Hunter. Issue Death Threats and TOLERANCE: UCLA Students Who Oppose Transgenderism Get Death Threats...) I'm sensing a bit of a connection here. Perhaps that's why liberals are obsessed with Western tolerance for Islam, but not, say, Christianity. Or any non-murderous religions. Welp, you know the saying. Birds of a feather. They issue death threats close together...
