It’s summer, meaning it's that time of year for Democrats to use the excuse of climate change to fearmonger and declare emergencies for what was once thought as a natural weather phenomenon.

Boston Mayor Michelle Wu declared a heat emergency for September 7-8 and blamed climate change for what she described as "extreme heat." Today is the last day of the emergency with an expected high temperature of a whopping 87 degrees.

NECN reported school closures despite the fact that nearly 3,000 air conditioning units were installed in schools last year. Fans are being used in about 14 buildings that can't handle the ACs due to electrical limitations.

Unfortunately, Boston might start seeing more buildings with electrical limitations because the climate prophet is now requiring that all new municipal buildings and major renovations operate without fossil fuels.

“Week after week, we see the signs of extreme heat, storms, and flooding that remind us of a closing window to take climate action,” Wu said. “The benefits of embracing fossil fuel-free infrastructure in our City hold no boundary across industries and communities, and Boston will continue using every possible tool to build the green, clean, healthy, and prosperous future our city deserves.”

In other words, the climate will destroy humanity. But we must also rely on the climate to save humanity.

Seems kind of ironic how the climate is supposed to save us and destroy us at the same time.

Too bad fuel-free infrastructure is an absolute lie. First of all, how would everything be built? I assume it would require fossil fuels. Even if everything is run on wind or solar, fossil-fuelled power sources will need to be running in the background at all times to fill the gaps whenever the sun is not out or when there is no wind.

Wu claims this step is necessary to advance "racial and economic justice."

Great, now the weather has adapted to the left's highest evil, racism. The titanic struggle that humanity presently faces in all aspects of our lives.

But wouldn't “extreme heat” like in Boston affect White people more? Since skin cancer is 20 times more common in White people than in Black people.

The doom-and-gloom tyrants couldn't convince anyone they were saving the planet so now they have to convince people they are fighting racism.

Climate alarmists will make up just about anything these days to make awful policy choices. They don’t even need an “emergency” anymore to scare people. All it took was a normal summer day for Boston to throw in the towel.
