If government officials cannot keep their most basic responsibilities then they have no business holding public office. However, given that the most naive voters elect some of the most incompetent people alive, Boston’s leadership is not what you would call “decent.”

Boston Mayor Michelle Wu is such an idiot that she would rather put foolish ideology in front of “public safety threats.”

Tom Homan went off on Wu for her lack of intellect, as she fails to uphold the law in the most basic ways by vowing to harbor illegal migrants like they have a right to be here.

According to Fox News:

Boston's Democrat Mayor Michelle Wu said in an interview on Sunday that her city won’t cooperate with the looming mass deportation operation from the incoming Trump administration — even as the region sees a number of illegal immigrants with criminal charges released back onto the streets.

Wu was asked in an interview with WCVB about the Trump administration’s plans to launch a mass deportation operation when it takes office in January, and was asked what Boston’s response will be.

"Elections have consequences, and the federal government is responsible for a certain set of actions, and cities, no individual city, can reverse or override some parts of that," she said. "But what we can do is make sure that we are doing our part to protect our residents in every possible way, that we are not cooperating with those efforts that actually threaten the safety of everyone by causing widespread fear and having large scale economic impact."

When she says “residents” she does not mean American citizens and when she says deportation will “threaten the safety of everyone” she means people who have broken federal immigration laws.

However, it’s unclear how this would have a “large scale economic impact” because I doubt the alien invasion has a positive effect on Boston’s economy.

In May of 2024, it was reported that the “cost of the migrant and homeless crisis in Massachusetts is now approaching $1 billion,” according to CBS. So one would think that deporting the problem would only help residents but people like Wu don’t let facts or reality get in the way of their deranged agenda.

So when she claimed this would have “large scale economic impact” it's probably safe to conclude she meant to the NGOs that have been awarded no-bid government contracts for doing nothing but spend your tax dollars on “spaghetti with hot dogs for $21" a meal.

As Homan said, Wu is “not very smart” and if she has no desire to get “public safety threats out of” the city then she has no business being in public office. But unfortunately for the sane people of Boston, competence is not something many voters consider when casting their ballot.
