Some institutions should remain immune to the societal changes of the time while holding fast to morality. One such institution which should've closed the doors to our current push to make everything for everyone for all feelings' sake is the Boy Scouts. Of course, lawsuits and outside pressure from social justice bullies made holding strong to its roots practically impossible. Because the Boy Scouts surrendered who and what they were, their entire identity and institution are melting away like a solitary Thin Mint at a feminist book reading. As a result of losing their way, both in identity and morally, the Boy Scouts is considering a declaration of bankruptcy.

The Wednesday Wall Stree Journal report comes in the wake of sinking membership and multiple controversies surrounding the 108-year-old organization, including sex abuse allegations and its controversial decision to change its program name from Boy Scouts to Scouts BSA and allow girls into that program.

Allowing girls into the Scouts was just the final blow. Let's not pretend it was the girls who ruined it, the Scouts ruined themselves by straying from its original purpose: a boy's only safe space for boys. Keeping sexual predators a secret, allowing sexual perverts to be Scout Masters, probably did more harm than allowing Sally and Skylar into fire-making camp. Sure, it didn't help, but the Scouts eroding their members' trust and childhood via sex abuse kind of goes against a safe environment for growing boys. I always thought boys liked playing war. Not playing suck a cock and not telling mommy.

Former Scouts in Georgia and other states, many of them now middle-aged, allege the national organization’s refusal to make public what have become known as the “perversion files” helped fail to prevent the sexual abuse they say they suffered as boys and teens at the hands of their scoutmasters.

If these guys are now middle-aged, then they suffered as boys some 20 years ago. Which is probably before openly LGBTQAAIP Scouts and Scoutmasters hand the penis-shaped red carpet rolled out for them.

The Boy Scouts adopting woke policies didn't help, and I'd still maintain ultimately undid them, but sounds to me like the Scouts have been in trouble for a long time. When the sex abuse started is obviously hard to say if the "perversion files" were kept secret. Perhaps if the Scouts do eventually dissolve, something better, safer, led by men who aren't sex perverts, can rise in its place.

For boys and girl's sake, can we please keep some clubs for just boys and just girls? If the girls wanted to join the boys, could we maybe, I dunno, form a girls' club that's based on learning cool skills and not hocking sugary carbs to the masses? C'mon.
