ICE agents had a job to do, but not on an empty stomach. So after washing down some waffles, they enjoyed a little slice of justice.

The owner of a Michigan restaurant said U.S. immigration agents who were conducting enforcement at the business ate breakfast — and complimented the chef — before arresting three workers, according to media reports on Thursday.

The Ann Arbor News reported that two of the men arrested Wednesday at Sava's Restaurant remain in custody. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials said agents were doing "a targeted enforcement action" at the Ann Arbor restaurant.

Restaurant owner Sava Lelcaj told the newspaper several agents came to the restaurant near the University of Michigan, and two ate breakfast at the restaurant bar. One ate waffles and bacon and the other eggs and toast. Lelcaj said they praised the food before entering the kitchen area.

It's almost like a scene right out of a mob movie. Nice place you got here. Gimme the waffles. My compliments to the the cook. I'd like a doggy bag to go. Throw in a few illegals while you're at it. Except plot twist, the goons aren't the guys in suits hustling the joint. It's the twerps in back, who shouldn't have been in America in the first place. Doesn't matter how crispy the bacon.

Almost every news outlet is spinning this story into an example of unprofessionalism. Not so. ICE is merely doing their job, busting illegals who shouldn't be in this country to begin with. They were just feeling peckish. Hey, at least they patronized the business before taking some of its workforce. Leftists might boo-hoo about it. I tip my hat in their general direction. Makes me want some waffles.
