Suspect Kori Ali Muhammad, 39, shouted “Allahu Akbar” -- meaning “God is great” in Arabic -- as police tackled him to the ground after the shootings, which were spread over four locations, Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer said, CBS affiliate KGPE-TV reports.

He later told police that he hates white people, according to authorities.

Now whether or not Mr. Muhammad committed these crimes in the name of Islam... well. Dang, it's getting hard to avoid the actual truth here. Kori Ali Muhammad is likely Islamic, most certainly a racist, and isn't the small group leader of his local Baptist congregation, assigning people with tasks for the upcoming potluck. Yes, the first paragraph of this post delved into political talking points. We had to beat back the leftism before it could start: California already has "tough" gun control laws, and yet three random, innocent people lost their lives because a hateful racist, probably Islamist, decided to cut them down for no other reason than the melatonin level of their skin. If you think only white people are capable of racism, smack yourself hard and repeat as necessary.

No amount of virtue signaling about needing to "understand" Kori here is going to help, nor will it prevent future acts of violence (whether or not this will be labeled terrorism is yet to be seen).
