Uh Oh! Bud Light Pulls Amy Schumer, Seth Rogen Ad Campaign After Sales Drop
The last few months have been rough on Amy Schumer. Though not as rough as looking at her face has been on us. First people drowned her out in boos at her own gig. Then Twitter skewered her for "racism." Now? Her commercial deal with Bud Light is falling through after failing miserably...
The Anheuser-Busch "Party" campaign starring Seth Rogen and Amy Schumer failed to resonate with the target market. The brewer reported today that Bud Light sales to retailers fell by "mid-single digits" in the third quarter. The brand lost 0.65 points of market share in the third quarter. The Bud Light campaign was always intended to end its run in the fall, but as the brewer seeks to turn around the sales they are now concentrating on NFL-themed advertising. Or maybe they just hate seeing the blonde swamp heifer on their T.V. screen. Or maybe the pubelike fuzz on Seth Rogen's triple chins is unappetizing. Either way, the people have spoken...
Apparently people hated the commercials so much that comments are disabled in the YouTube section. It probably won't be long before the videos are pulled from YouTube altogether, as is the Schumerian way...
