LOL: House Passes Bill That Would Cut Pete Buttigieg's Government Salary to $1
It turns out, that Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg is back from maternity leave. It’s been two years since he was appointed to this position and the only thing he has accomplished is holiday time as he refuses to focus on anything related to the Department of Transportation.
Buttigieg's taxpayer-funded government salary is nearly a quarter of a million dollars. But he thinks that is not enough. In fact, I bet if you ask him, he should get much more than that.
But besides going on maternity leave and “chestfeeding,” what does the man actually do to advance “transportation?”
The House approved a measure Tuesday that would slash Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg's taxpayer-funded government salary to just $1.
The bill was introduced by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and passed as an amendment to the 2024 Financial Services and General Government Appropriations Act.
"I’m proud to announce my amendment to FIRE Pete Buttigieg just PASSED the House. Pothole Pete staged fake bike rides to the White House and used private planes funded by taxpayers to receive awards for the way certain people have sex," Greene said in a social media post Tuesday. "American taxpayers should not be on the hook for paying for his lavish trips or his salary."
Unfortunately, the amendment is unlikely to be approved by the Senate.
"Pete Buttigieg doesn’t do his job. It’s all about fake photo ops and taxpayer-funded private jet trips to accept LGBTQ awards for him," Greene added. "I’m happy my amendment passed, but he doesn’t deserve a single penny."
To say the very least, the man is a failure.
Greene also attacked Buttigieg for his slow response to the train derailment in Ohio.
"These fraudulent actions of Secretary Buttigieg illustrate that he is not to be trusted in leading our Department of Transportation," Greene said on the House floor, according to the Washington Examiner. "While Secretary Buttigieg was taking taxpayer-funded carbon-emitting private jets to receive LGBTQ awards, he failed to serve the Americans in East Palestine who were devastated by the train derailment and chemicals earlier this year."
Does it really take 20 days to fly to Ohio? It defitnley does not take a second thought for him to fly to Quebec.
According to the Washington Examiner, Buttigieg received an award last year from Quebec’s largest LGBT organization for "an individual or group who has made exceptional contributions to the advancement of LGBTQ rights."
What exactly were those contributions?
And obviously, he had to use taxpayer funds to fly by private jet to receive the award. You know, because ANYTHING to fight climate change.
Let's be real, $1 is way too much for the man. How about a penny for his thoughts? Or maybe that might be too excessive.
