CA High School Magazine Shows Trump as Nazi, Cops as KKK
Remember, we're not getting outraged here. This is but another exposure of leftist politics at work, this time at a high school.
It shouldn't surprise you a California high school magazine printed art of Trump as a Nazi. Or police as the KKK. The word "California" gives away the foaming at the mouth insanity (see California Teacher Filmed Calling Our Military “Dumb S**ts…” and PROGRESS: California Public Schools Forced to Teach 2nd Graders About LGBT…).
Watch this video and try to imagine the reactions had the magazine published art of Hillary Clinton strapped in a hospital chair, smoke coming out of her nostrils as the devil sits bedside, reading poems.
When you see the images in the accompanying story, you might feel strongly one way or the other. I can tell you that LaVerne Police were hurt and insulted and the school district apologized, though when I asked about it all the School District would only issue a brief statement explaining that student publications have first amendment rights and the content doesn't represent the beliefs of the District or the School.Fine, but no one apparently felt the need to speak to me to answer my many questions about the process of publishing, or if anyone even reviewed the material or why the online issue was taken down and all the hard copies pulled.
The graphic, anti-President Trump cartoons would not have been out of place in, say, the LA Times or the NY Times, or a news magazine, but in a school sponsored publication? Public school?
Let's bypass the whataboutism. We all know there would be protests in the streets had this been a drawing of Obama struggling to deadlift a watermelon. Or something making Planned Parenthood look like murderous ghouls. Like just a photograph of their handiwork. In either scenario, there'd have been no story to write about. Because the magazine wouldn't be printed. You know it. I know it. The teachers at this high school know it.
I know I'm the resident oldhead here at LwC. But back in my day, EVERYTHING in the school paper was signed off by a teacher. You couldn't run to the bathroom without sign off from a teacher. Granted they still taught us things like history and math. But I can't imagine things have changed so much, a teacher doesn't approve these photos before going to print. So at least someone at the school was ok with this Trump making weird tattoo choices. Or a cop shooting a black child right in the face. Someone whose job it is to teach children things like history and math.
Kids are forced to grow up too quickly as it is. Wouldn't it be nice to shield them just a tad from these kind of divisive politics?
2,456th look at homeschooling. Starting to sound pretty good right about now, eh?
