California recently announced that it will be offering taxpayer-funded health care to illegal immigrants while citizens still have to pay for their insurance. That is bad enough. But it gets worse. Because taxpayer-funded health care also includes free sex changes and other “affirming” medical procedures.

According to the Daily Caller:

“The state of California’s program providing taxpayer-funded health care to illegal immigrants covers sex change surgeries and hormones, according to a Daily Caller News Foundation review of the program.

The program, which is known as Medi-Cal, covers hormone therapy and surgical procedures ‘that bring primary and secondary gender characteristics into conformity with the individual’s identified gender, including ancillary services, such as hair removal, incident to those services,’ according to a state memo from May 2022. Roughly 700,000 illegal immigrants in the state between the age of 26 and 49 qualify for full coverage as of Jan. 1, California State Sen. María Elena Durazo said in May of the state’s latest move to expand the program.

In 2015, then-Gov. Jerry Brown signed a law allowing illegal migrant children to qualify for Medi-Cal. Gov. Gavin Newsom expanded the coverage in 2019 for illegal immigrants ages 19 to 25, which will now be expanded to cover migrants up to age 50.

‘Gender affirming care is a covered Medi-Cal benefit when medically necessary. Requests for gender affirming care should be from specialists experienced in providing culturally competent care to transgender and gender diverse individuals and should use nationally recognized guidelines,’ the memo read.”

No one should be afforded a "free" sex change operation. That is insane on its own. But to add to the insanity, not only are illegal immigrants afforded free boob jobs, but citizens must pay for their own. Even if you support this, how is it possible to justify prioritizing people who should not even be here, over citizens? I just can't deal with this one.

When things like laser hair removal and breast implants are considered "medically necessary," we know something is not adding up. But progressives think this is what it means to be "compassionate." Even if hair removal and breast implants were the compassionate thing to do, why should foreign nationals get it over a native-born citizen or even a legal immigrant?

If it were up to those with a fraction of a brain and not woke bureaucrats, the only medically necessary procedure for people with gender ideology would be therapy to have these individuals feel comfortable with their bodies. Not a Frankenstein operation to align the body with the mind. However, according to the left, aligning the mind with the body is transphobic and evil.

I would not even be surprised if they have been doing this all along. I hardly doubt this is anything new. Woke elected officials probably just needed some extra virtue signaling points to end 2023 with.

But hey, at least the Golden State is being inclusives!
