There's been a bit of an ongoing pattern where leftists force their ideologies onto children. Given their track record, this change in public school curriculum isn't all too shocking. Mainly just disturbing. And gross.

In second grade, California students will learn about families with two moms or two dads. Two years later, while studying how immigrants have shaped the Golden State, they will hear how New York native Harvey Milk became a pioneering gay politician in San Francisco.

The State Board of Education unanimously approved those changes in classroom instruction Thursday to comply with the nation's first law requiring public schools to include prominent gay Americans and LGBT rights milestones in history classes.

The changes satisfy legislation... that added LGBT Americans and people with disabilities to the list of social and ethnic groups whose contributions schools are supposed to teach and must appear in K-8 textbooks. The law also prohibited classroom material that reflect adversely on gays or particular religions.

Remember how we said college is a no-go? (Dear High School Students: Don't Go to College. No Seriously...) Maybe just don't send your kids to public schools. At all. The schooling system seems to be an ever-growing cesspool of freedom smashing indoctrination. The worst part? The schools don't even have a choice in the matter. They're being dictated to by the law... All because seven-year-olds needs to learn about the accomplishments of the gays. Though I imagine it'll be a rather short lesson. And very fashion-centric.

The issue doesn't necessarily come down to leftism vs conservatism. It's the fact that you don't get a say in what your kid learns at school. Despite your tax dollars paying for said school. Also, the school doesn't get a say in what your kid learns in school. The state gets to decide. In this case, mega liberal California gets to decide.

Is it really all that surprising that people are pulling their kids out of these schools? Or California? Also, home-schooled kids are crushing public school students' SAT scores. By a lot... Maybe public school students would do better on SATs if they spent more time studying mathematics. Or the life cycle of the fruit fly. You know, instead of preferred pronouns.
