Massive Teen Brawls Break Out At Malls Across California, Forcing One Mall To Take Drastic Action

Calif. was fraught with chaos over the weekend and voters shouldn’t expect anything else after they essentially ‘legalized’ crime.
Moreno Valley Mall in Southern Calif. will require unaccompanied minors to wear identification tags after a brawl sparked over the weekend as hundreds of people arrived to get $4 movie tickets as part of National Cinema Day. The mall was forced to shut down after multiple fights took place.
Minors will now have to wear lanyards that contain their names and their parents’ contact information if they are unaccompanied after 5 p.m., The Press Enterprise reported.
Chelsey Ritchie, on behalf of Moreno Valley Mall Management, put out this hilarious statement on Facebook, "We would like to remind you that the mall security is not a babysitting service and it is the responsibility of parents to raise their children to be respectful to others and to compose themselves accordingly when out in public.”
Similar incidents occurred in Torrance and Emeryville.
Yes, it is the responsibility of parents to teach their children to be respectful and productive members of society. But when no one is held accountable for their actions, we are obviously going to see society headed in the wrong direction.
In 2014 Calif. voters approved Prop 47, which made it so that theft can only be charged as a felony if the amount of goods stolen is worth at least $950 in most cases. It also downgraded many drug crimes. The money saved was said to be used to invest in drug and mental health treatment because that is OBVIOUSLY how you stop crime.
One very ironic part about the bill is that it was dubbed the “The Safe Neighborhoods and Schools Act.”
It does not look like that worked out too well for Californians. Every week we see new ‘smash and grab’ incidents occur, with almost no end in sight, Criminals can pretty much get away with anything these days in Calif.
They know that if they are even arrested, they will be back on the streets in no time.
For example, Los Angeles has reinstated its zero bail policy. This policy was brought back from the pandemic era as a way to "reduce the spread" by providing “zero bails” for individuals accused of "low-level offenses, infractions, misdemeanors, and some felony offenses."
Between March 28, 2021, and June 25, 2022, LAPD reported there were 649 reported zero bail re-arrests. This included some of the following:
“The re-arrest of an individual arrested for Domestic Battery. Earlier that day, the same individual had been arrested for Post Release Community Supervision.
An individual was arrested for Grand Theft Auto. Earlier that day, the same individual had been arrested for Grand Theft Auto.
An individual was arrested for Assault with a Deadly Weapon and earlier the same day the same individual had been arrested for Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
An individual was arrested for Human Trafficking. Earlier that day, the same individual had been arrested for Felon in Possession of a Firearm. There were 2 individuals arrested 5 times each during a 15-month period between March 28, 2021 and June 25, 2022.”
Prop 47 was co-author by George Gascón, the woke Los Angeles County DA who takes no accountability for the rise in crime when he refuses to prosecute pretty much anyone.
Let's not forget about Prop 57, “The Public Safety and Rehabilitation Act.” This ballot measure also deserves a shout-out. It created “a new parole consideration process for people convicted of a nonviolent felony offense.”
It turns out a nonviolent felony offense includes rape of a person who is unconscious, supplying a firearm to a gang member, human trafficking, domestic violence with trauma, hostage-taking, and attempting to bomb a school or hospital.
Why do progressives feel the need to reward criminals? Society has decided not to hold people accountable for their actions and America’s youth is quickly learning that.
It is quite obvious to me progressives care more about the ‘rights’ of criminals rather than the victims of crimes.
