Oh Canada. We're all quite familiar with the bastion of leftist, northern nonsense by now. We've already made all the possible hockey jokes and syrupy puns at their expense. Yet their stupidity is still as lively and fresh as a spring moose in May. You may recall how Canada wagged its finger in America's face for daring to enforce border security. They put their tolerance on display by opening up their borders to the asylum seekers we so selfishly denied. Well, now they're having a bit of a migrant crisis. Solution? Tons of deportations. Gasp.

As an influx of asylum seekers crossing from the United States strains Canada's immigration system, the country is ramping up its deportation of migrants, government data shows.

Deportations of Mexicans, who have flocked to Canada in growing numbers after a visa requirement was lifted in December, was already 66 percent higher in the first eight months of 2017 than the total from the previous year.

Deportations of Haitians, thousands of whom have crossed into Canada illegally in the hopes of avoiding deportation from the United States, have also soared.

Overall, 5,529 people have been deported as of Tuesday, compared to 7,357 for all of 2016, the data shows.

Yes, this is still Canada we're talking about. It all sounds rather uncharacteristic of the maple guzzling pearl-clutchers (see Embarrassing: Canada Changes National Anthem to be ‘Inclusive.’ And It Sucks…). So much for all that talk about love outweighing the need for strong borders. As soon as the going gets tough, these hosers seem quite content to turn their back on their staunch tolerant values. Seems their priorities lie elsewhere.

Look, Canada should give themselves a pat on the back. If they haven't already today. I know self-love is a big thing over there. There's nothing wrong with deporting those who illegally sauntered their way over the border -- that's the point. Canada has been sitting in its ivory tower and shouting down at the rest of us for not being liberal enough. Yet when given the choice, Canada has opted to abandon their open borders for a more conservative approach (read Surprise! Poll Shows Majority of Canadians Actually WANT Illegal Migrants Deported...). Interesting.

The worst part of all this? Canadian leaders are still publicly embracing leftism.

At the same time, Canada said this week it will be granting border-crossing asylum seekers swifter access to healthcare. They will also be eligible for work permits sooner.

Canada is on track to record the most refugee claims in a decade.

Well there's hardly any mystery as to why. These policies are obviously unsustainable, but Canada has yet to learn their lesson. This is what virtue signaling your country to death looks like.

Wise up, America. This is the future liberals want for us.
