Watch: Fact Checking E. Jean Carroll
E. Jean Carroll has a tradition of accusing powerful men of sex crimes.
E. Jean Carroll claims Donald Trump raped her in a dressing room over 30 years ago. In 2012, "Law & Order: SVU" featured a rape scene in a Bergdorf Goodman dressing room, which is the same store of her accusations. However, according to Carroll, this is nothing more than a coincidence that “is bound to show up.”
According to Business Insider
"This happens all the time with Law and Order stories," Carroll wrote in response to an email pointing out the similarities between her story and the show's plot. "Also, there are 200 scripted shows a year on TV, this kind of thing is bound to show up."
"I'm surprised this sort of thing is not seen more often," she added.
She also claimed she has never seen “Law & Order: SVU” because it’s too violent.
Carroll, a longtime Elle magazine columnist, has said that Trump raped her one evening in 1995 or 1996. According to her version of events, she bumped into Trump at the entrance of the Bergdorf Goodman in Manhattan and agreed to assist him in buying a gift for a female friend.
The ironic thing about E. Jean Carroll is that over the years she has accused several wealthy men of sexually assaulting her. Additionally, she claimed a student at Indiana University drove her to a forest and assaulted her. She also fought off her boss in Chicago and in another incident, accused her Girl Scout director of molesting her when she was 12.
It’s not that these accusations are or aren’t false, it’s that it’s nearly impossible to uncover them even though she has written a book about them.
“The media does not want you to know, they want her to appear credible. This matters, this is a person who has claimed with zero substations while claiming ‘rape’ is sexy and encouraging it on Twitter,” Crowder said. “Maybe Donald Trump was right to say she’s crazy.”
