In the olden days, your pronouns were assumed. Girls were girls and men were men. People weren't compelled to tell you which they thought they were. An eyeball test was enough. But that was the bygone era of 2019. Now, one is expected to volunteer their pronouns if one wants to stay in the good graces of the internet. Even though, a majority of people think it's all silly. It would appear the feline community hasn't gotten the memo, either.

No, not people who identify as cats using mew/meow pronouns. Actual cats.

Viral video disclaimer. I don't know where this video is from or why it's trending now. It has to be a few years old. For whatever reason it decided to trend now, it sends an important message. Stop. Using. Cats. For. Woke. Content. They don't like it. They will attack. We've seen it happen before.

I'm just as surprised as everyone else over how based felines are. But it is what it is.

Not that dogs are thrilled when you put them on the spot like this, either. But dogs at least won't lash out at you. They'll just walk away. Cats left their last f*ck in the litterbox and can't be bothered with pronoun shenanigans. Cats aren't the BBC, shaming victims of assault who misgender their attacker.

They're cats, and they're not afraid to put you in your place. The only question is, who writes the first think piece labeling cats as transphobes?
