The Founding Fathers, like all people, were flawed. When they said "All men are created equal," that's precisely where they went wrong. But actually, the blame can be traced much farther back in time. There was this guy, some call him "God" who, sometime after uttering the almighty words "Let there be light," also made a giant mistake which would now be labeled "hate." Specifically: "When God created man, he made him in the likeness of God; he created them male and female. When they were created, he blessed them and named them 'man'" (Genesis 5:1-2). What a sexist.

Several millennia later, a Catholic university "Bias Incident Response Team" is pairing up with the Los Angeles Police Department to investigate something one of the univesity employees said. The incriminating statement? There are only two genders. Turns out God? Totally wrong on this one.

Both the police and the university's Bias Incident Response Team are investigating the stated belief that only two genders exist, male and female, as a hate crime. A Loyola alumni office employee discussed her views on sexual orientation, which align with the Roman Catholic Church, with three students who were hanging up posters on the subject on April 14.

The employee told [a student], who identifies as gender-neutral, that only two genders exist, male and female... [The student] responded that "you can have your opinion" as long as it doesn't "deny my existence."

As of April 19th the "investigation" was still ongoing. The reports are also a bit conflicting (but the larger point is still the same. Hang tight, more on that soon):

Outside reports of what happened differ. The Bias Incident Response Team said in a statement obtained by The Los Angeles Loyolan that the team, the campus Public Safety office and LAPD were “looking into the events of April 14 as reported by the three students.”

Carleo told The Loyolan that she and two other students noticed that Rainbow Week posters “had been removed and placed behind a garbage can.”

As they were reposting the signs, the employee “allegedly approached the students about LGBTQ+ issues and voiced her opinions on differing sexualities, expressing that anti-LGBTQ+ signs should be put up in place of the students’ sign.”

Okay, because right now this report is "conflicted," I'm just going to issue the grand obvious statement here. There areonly two genders. The staffer here is right. Also the Catholic Church's official stance on the exact number of genders falls in line with what God said about the genders allllllll the way back in Genesis. So maybe the "bias response team" should, I don't know, look into how triggering GOD IS.

This story is yet another example of how higher education, as a whole, is corrupted (read TheChalkening: Michigan Students Call for Arrests Over 'Offensive' Chalk Signs...). It's being run not by the ruling ideology of which it was established (in this case, Catholicism) but by the feral students who run wild through its halls.

If sanity had won here, every faculty member at this school, and most of the students, would've laughed out these LGBTQ+ students who said "there are more than two genders" from not only the academic world, but from any place of semi-rational thought. But because we're in the age of feelings and moral relativism, the police were involved in an incident where a faculty member said "There are only two genders."
