This is a nice change of pace. While this isn't the first Chicago CCW story we've covered, most of the coverage elsewhere revolves around how leftist gun control policies have made the city less safe. I know, go figure. So we try to counter-balance said sites with a little truth. But, only every now and then. You know, for kicks.

Here we have the story of a T-Mobile employee saving the day, and probably both his co-workers and his customers. From violent criminals mind you, not T-Mobile's awful coverage.

Two robbery suspects were shot by an employee at a cell phone store in the Jeffrey Manor neighborhood on Chicago's South Side.

The T-Mobile store in the 2000-block of East 95th St. was left riddled with bullet holes. If not for the employee carrying a weapon with a concealed carry license, the manager of the store says he might be telling a different story.

"I think concealed carry is a great opportunity for managers, workers, employees to protect themselves in these cases. And our employee did a great job to protect themselves and the other employee," said Neil Tadros, store manager.

A GREAT OPPORTUNITY for people to PROTECT THEMSELVES. Imagine that. I know, I know, but follow me here for a second. Imagine a world where citizens are able to level the playing field against harmful criminals, who obviously don't care about gun laws in the first place, because if they did, they wouldn't be criminals.

"MIND BLOWN!"

Now I'm going to let you in on a little secret. That place exists. It's called "The United States of America." It just didn't include the city of Chicago until recently. So congratulations Chi-town, welcome to the fold. We await your formal apology for Kanye West with great anticipation.

Truth is, Chicago has been the poster boy for leftist gun policies for decades. They wanted stricter gun control? They got it. They wanted an effective ban on conceal-carry (CCW's)? They got it. They wanted an all-out ban on legal guns within the city? They pretty much got it. What came with it? One of the worst crime rates in the country (read How Chicago's Gun Laws Have Failed Them). The change is recent, but as the statistics come out, it seems like allowing law-abiding citizens the right to carry has had a positive effect. I know, I know, mind blown.

But let's assume for a second that it didn't. It doesn't matter. This isn't merely about statistics on a chart. It's about your human right to self-preservation. As seen with this story. But that won't stop Obama from lying about it. Learn more in the video below.
