Last year we pointed out the dangers of political correctness (see Dear Liberals: Political Correctness is Now Literally Killing People. Happy Now?). A year and some bombings later, we're stuck in the same boat. Sinking in a sea of tolerant feces. In fact, now even more people are tiptoeing around so as not to trigger the leftist rage mob. Aaand it's costing them their safety. Progress.

For instance, this dude attacked a cop while on a drug fueled rampage. She was too afraid to use her weapon. Not because guns are scary. Because she was afraid of backlash from Black Lives Matter (see Journalists Refuse to Cover Milwaukee After 'Peaceful' Rioters Attack Them...). Naturally. Instead of using her gun, she used nonlethal weapons.

Didn't end too well...

A female officer and her partner were on patrol in the Austin neighborhood when they witnessed a crash, and tried to help one of the victims, who became combative, apparently under the influence of drugs.

"A subject who was under the influence of PCP attacked the female officer, viciously pounded her head into the street as her partner was trying to get him off of her. This attack went on for several minutes," [Police Supt. Eddie] Johnson said. [The female officer] was holding her fire, for fear of the potential scrutiny...

Firstly, the cops were simply trying to help out a "victim." Which turned into a scuffle with a rabid PCP monster. That escalated quickly. But such is the nature of police work: it's unpredictable. Still, this incident is further proof officers should be armed and on edge at all times, even during traffic stops. You never know when a crazy could drop in and mop the floor with your face.

Back to the attack. That's when things get interesting. The female officer opted for a head bashing rather than sparking outrage, which might result in the burning down of her village town. Tensions between police and the public are so high she chose brain damage over potentially facing a crapstorm of Black Lives Matter locusts who might target her or her entire family.

Not too long ago we covered the rise in police deaths. This is a prime example detailing why. While more people are targeting cops, more cops are reluctant to use their guns when needed most: to defend themselves. Which, by the way, is usually when officers pull their guns, aim and fire: to defend themselves from dangerous people. Black, white, purple. But the Black Lives Matter backlash has become so strong, officers, like this one, second guess themselves. They don't want to become the next national news story which triggers Black Lives Matter to rally up again.

I can think of a few reasons why...
