File this one under "obvious." Chicago has a problem with people getting 1-8-7-ed. For years, Chicagoans have refused to own up to their little problem, prompting the homicide numbers to go up even higher. But, the bodies can only pile up so high before you have to do something about it. Community leaders in Chi-raq are finally fessin' up and admitting things are out of hand...

Chicago residents need to start taking responsibility for the city’s shootings, according to black leaders in the area.

The Chicago Police Department hosted an Operation Wake Up event Thursday where leaders urged residents to stop blaming the police, reports the Chicago Sun-Times.

“Here’s a fact: When it comes to violence and our children, there is no side. We are all on the side of righteousness and justice on this,” Glen Brooks said, speaking in response to a widely-held view that Chicago protests only focus on police brutality.

“Nobody wants to see death and destruction visit upon their family, their neighbors or their communities,” Brooks, a CPD coordinator, added.

Numerous officials, police, residents and activists came to the event, which was held close to the place where a two-year-old boy and his aunt were shot over Facebook Live Tuesday. The little boy died from his injuries.

We've all been told the real problem with Chicago is guns. Or racism. The po-pos. Blame has been placed on pretty much everything except city management, liberal policies, or criminals who are allowed to run rampant shooting each other, while the rest of the nation cries "BLACK LIVES MATTER!" ...except in Chicago.

Chi-town has been a leftist bastion for decades. Right after Detroit, Chicago is the perfect example of liberal policies played out city-wide. Just spitballing here, but maybe the real problem is crap management. Mayhaps a changing of the guard is in order. Thankfully, in a plot twist I can actually stand behind, it appears the city residents are catching on. Blame the people who've been running the saloon when the fights break out with zero craps given, seems like a good place to start.
