Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson gets a modicum of respect for his shamelessness here. My man actually blamed the problems going on in Chicago on REPUBLICANS, January 6th, and the Civil War. I would have too much self-respect for myself and the intelligence of my constituents to say these things. Johnson doesn't have that problem.

At issue is the migrant crisis. Progressive utopias like Chicago have been virtue signaling about being "sanctuary cities" for generations, welcoming of all illegal immigrants. After all, no human being is illegal!

When Joe Biden's incompetence caused a massive crisis on the border and overwhelmed small border towns, Governors DeSantis and Abbott arranged for the undocumented migrants to go to these sanctuary cities where they would be welcomed with open arms.

Or so we thought! It turns out no human being is illegal... as long as they're not in my backyard.

Out of Chicago's 50 city council members (alderman), there are ZERO Republicans, and only three independents.

Joe Biden, whose incompetence started the border crisis, got over 74% of the Chicago vote in the 2020 presidential election.

Brandon Johnson thinks the voters are stupid.

However, the voters are the ones who elected Brandon Johnson and keep electing progressives to run the city into the ground. He might have a point.
