We've talked about how liberal policies have failed Chicago, and how their liberal Mayor blamed close to 3000 gun deaths this year on "the cops are scared". What does a leftist do when a leftist policy has failed? Obviously you go on TV and make an idiot of yourself by ignoring solutions to problems. Then you fight to have the police defunded. Come on, I had to point that out to you? Seems totes clear to me...

Appearing on MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell Reports with guest host Peter Alexander, Breanna Champion of the Black Youth Project called it “unacceptable” that police receive 40 percent of the city’s budget.

“One of our major demands is that police be defunded and that that money used to fund police be used to fund black futures, and be used to fund our communities and things that we need,” Champion said.

Guest Host Peter Alexander didn't dare tell her the idea was a bit counterintuitive. Police officers are there to protect and serve the community. Kind of hard to "fund black futures" if crime goes up as a result of their being no police officers. If the cops aren't there to step in to tell everyone to simmer down, stop killing each other, then blacks continue to kill each other...what future would they have? Of course we're not supposed to talk about it. Racism. Or something.

Champion said on MSNBC that removing the mayor from office is “not the main goal of the movement,” but protestors will continue to demand his resignation. She also said it was necessary for Anita Alvarez, the Cook County State’s Attorney, to resign as well.

There are legitimate criticisms about the rare occurrences of police brutality, sure. But when you make ridiculous statements that the police should be defunded, thereby eliminated, like this Chicago protester did, all you get is people rolling their eyes. Just imagine if this girl had taken the same statement and applied it to corrupt politicians. "Some politicians are worthless scum. Therefore we should defund the politicians..."

Wait...

All the guest host had to do here was ask a couple of questions instead of stare at whatever is going on with her hair. That's not a racist comment, I'm legitimately asking people what's going on with her hair. Yes, I would've asked had she been white. Is it covered, is it a wig, what's happening with it? Anybody?
