Lawmakers in New York often try and find ways to punish businesses and people who don’t align 100 percent with their lack of a thought process. It is not news that many on the left have disliked Chick-fil-A for quite some time now. The founder of Chick-fil-A was a very religious man. That is why he decided to keep the restaurant closed on Sundays. And ever since then, the left’s hate for fried chicken sandwiches has only grown stronger.

According to Bussiness Insider:

“A New York lawmaker has introduced a bill that would require restaurants inside state rest stops to be open seven days a week. It could impact nine Chick-fil-A restaurants that operate inside New York travel plazas if approved.

Chick-fil-A, among the busiest fast-food chains in the US, famously keeps its doors closed on Sundays. This bill, if approved, could force them to change their policy or exit the nine travel plazas where it operates in New York City.

A representative for Assemblyman Tony Simone, who introduced the bill, said the lawmaker believes ‘Chick-Fil-A could easily serve their customers better if their restaurants were open seven days a week.’”

There are many things dumb with this bill. First of all, these people are acting as if there are no other restaurants open on Sundays. Secondly, it is not the company’s job to make sure that truckers are fed on Sundays.

It is also not the job of lawmakers to decide how businesses in the “free market” can better serve their customers. That is not what the government is supposed to be doing. But progressives and liberals are just so incredibly stupid they have no sense of urgency to focus on real “issues” that are at hand. This very serious lawmaker is truly wasting time deciding how a chicken restaurant can better serve its consumers. What a total joke.

What about banks? If we really want to talk about better serving the people, we need to start forcing banks to be open on Sundays. It is totally not fair that banks are only open when people have to work. But that is what humanity is forced to deal with. Subsequently, humanity needs to learn to live with the fact that Chick-fil-A is closed on Sundays.

New York went from “Don’t you dare open your business” in 2020, to “You better open on the Lord’s Day or else.” It appears that as long as they can control businesses and get more people out of church, then they are happy.
