Chris Pratt gives patriotic speech at Christian college about 9/11, makes Joe Biden skipping Ground Zero look WORSE
Chris Pratt is the only A-list actor who would give a pro-America speech, speak at a Christian college, or commemorate 9/11. So it shouldn't be a surprise he did all three all at once last week. Ironically, Joey Biden also gave a notable 9/11 address, but for different reasons.
Pratt was invited to give the keynote address at Pepperdine University's 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony. The college invited him after the actor shared a photo of Pepperdine's Waves of Flags display on his Instagram account last year.
"Faith, religion, love of fellow citizens, and patriotism" were key themes in Pratt's address as he called for Americans to come together as we did 22 years ago. He also addressed younger Americans needing to look up from their devices once and a while.
"[Let's see that] a fire is lit in the hearts and minds of young people who never felt the 9/11 effect. Perhaps they could have their focus expanded like mine was. If I was twenty years old today and I might have my head in TikTok and Instagram, I might be disillusioned. I might need someone to tap me on the shoulder and say my country needs me ... YOUR country needs you."
A stark contrast to the President of the United States, who shattered a glass ceiling by becoming the first American president to NOT visit Ground Zero on 9/11. He also lied about where he was on 9/12.
We need more side-by-side comparisons of younger leaders compared to geriatrics who don't know where they are or what they're saying. Yes, GOP Primary voters, I'm looking at you.
Conservatives have a habit of propping up any successful actor who echoes any political opinion we may agree with. All of us here at the Louder with Crowder Dot Com website can be guilty of it too. We need to be careful about propping people up as being more on our side than they actually are. For reference, please see McConaughey, Matthew.
I hope Chris Pratt doesn't get too out of his element and continues to pick and choose his spots where he WANTS to speak. He was one of the featured guests at the Los Angeles Dodgers “Christian Faith and Family Day,” which was thrown together in response to outrage over the franchise honoring blasphemous drag nuns who mock Christianity this past June.
