Editor's Note: On this day in 2017. Though while I have your attention, am I the only one who noticed after Elon fired the people at Twitter who controlled trending topics, we've had TWO major Chris Pratt trailers drop without leftists canceling Pratt "trending" on Twitter?

Chris Pratt guest hosted for Jimmy Kimmel, and you won't believe what happened next! Actually, you might believe it, since it's Chris Pratt. He's the most un-Hollywood Hollywood superstar you can imagine (see Chris Pratt: Sexual Objectification is Awesome. For Women AND Men… and Chris Pratt: ‘I Only Eat What I Kill.’ Vegans Freak…). Peter Quill's phenomenal feat? He made it through an entire opening monologue without any leftist grandstanding or anti-Trump sentiments. No, seriously. Take a listen.

Side note, I was excited enough to be assigned this story as LwC's Senior PrattPrattPratt Corespondent. But finding out Chris Stapleton was there too? I'm pissed I didn't watch in the first place. But you know, what with all late night sucking so hard lately, who would've thunk?

Seriously though, how hard is this? You'd have to assume Pratt used the same Kimmel writers that write Jimmy's unfunny political rants. Yet he made it through ten entertaining minutes without a single bitterly partisan political attack joke. He didn't even make fun of the FBI turmoil in a sketch starring Burt Macklin. Which would have been funny, unlike Kimmel whining about a tax plan or health care bill he doesn't understand. Burt Macklin: Make the FBI Great Again. I may just write it right now and tweet it to him. Great idea, me.

Chris Pratt entertained instead of alienated. And on a network after 11:35 PM EST. Go figure.
