Begun, the trade wars have. Donald Trump said he is going to slap tariffs on Mexico and Canada. Mexico and Canada said they would retaliate with more better tariffs on America. China's gonna get their taste. Americans are prepared to brace for the impact of certain items being more expensive. Items, as Democrat Leader Chuck Schumer points out, like beer. But only if you know nothing about beer, which it's clear Chuckles' handlers do not.

Opinions on tariffs and their effect on policy (both economic and political) vary, even amongst those of us on the Right. For now, we here at the Louder with Crowder Dot Com website maintain a non-partisan viewpoint and feel it's best to focus on what matters:

The reason I've invited you all here today is to have fun at the expense of what a schmuck Chuck is. At least OUR boomer politicians on the Right are advised by GenXers, the only generation that doesn't suck. Schumer and the Democrats appeared to be advised by Zoomers, who copy what they see on TikTok and can call it an argument. That Zoomer brain trust has settled on avocados as the symbol of their resistance to Trump.

Schumer added an extra element:

Let's just take Super Bowl Sunday, okay? It's going to affect beer, okay? Most of it, Corona here, comes from Mexico. It's going to affect your guac, because what is guacamole made of? Avocados, both from Mexico.

Set aside that Schumer should leave prop comedy to the experts.

You would think his staff would have remembered this after the unfortunate grilling incident of 2024.

Does Chuckles, or at least the chuckleheads running his comms shop, know that a lot of beer is made in America?

Argue about Trump tariffs as much as you want. The one area they won't affect is beer. Do you live anywhere in the United States? Great. You live anywhere between three to five different local breweries. A " tariff " won't be slapped on the neighborhood stout made with peanut butter and fluff. Or the IPA the brewmaster is really proud of.

Tariffs might affect you if Corona is your brand and the only beer you drink, and if that's the case, your tastes are pathetic and sad. Team Schumer may have had a shot at making a point if they held up a Modello, but that would require them to know anything about anyone who lived outside of Washington D.C., or Park Slope.

I get what Democrats are trying to do. We all had fun creating content about how expensive things were under the Biden Administration, particularly during the Super Bowl. The difference is the people who controlled Joe Biden put forth policies that, at best, made things more expensive as an unintended consequence. At worst, it was totally intended.

The "increase" with Trump's tariffs would be temporary if they even make it that far. The "trade war' could be over when you read this. If it isn't, it would only affect a handful of items you will feel if they are specific items you buy.

You can also buy the made-in-America version, which is not subject to tariffs. You have that option as well.
