Climate activists are always doing goofy things. Most of the time, their stupid theatrics do absolutely nothing to convince people to come over to their movement, but with leaders like Greta Thunberg, would we expect any less?

In keeping with such a long and glorious history of annoying people, climate activists in Germany have been blocking roads for the past few weeks.

Reuters reports that fifteen climate activists glued themselves to the road in Germany. It was to demand laws against food waste and for cutting emissions. You know, because gluing yourself to the road is what normal people do. "A total of 252 protesters have taken part in a series of road blockades over the past two weeks, 69 of them fusing themselves to the asphalt to make it harder to remove them,” and several of them did so this past Monday.

A spokesperson for the protesters said in a statement:

“By planning to achieve climate neutrality by 2045, the German government is breaking its constitutional obligation to protect our lives. […] By 2030, we will exceed 1.5 degrees (average rise in global temperatures). The government is not only breaking international law but committing a crime against humanity by deliberately heading for a world hotter by 2, 3, 4 degrees with billions dying of hunger.”

People are really broadening out the definition of crimes against humanity, aren’t they? There’s not nearly the same kind of fervor to accuse China of such charges, but then they’re just committing a genocide… That’s not nearly as bad as the planet getting a little warmer… And keeping a bunch of vehicles locked in rush hour traffic, running for longer than necessary, is a great way to prevent that warming.

I don’t think these climate weirdos think this stuff through. Do you?
