Leftists are always sounding alarms about climate change. If they are to be believed, the world is in for a post-apocalyptic nightmare worse than Mad Max, Fallout, and Waterworld combined. They've made their doomsday prophecy even bleaker. The people of Earth are now in danger of being eaten by angry polar bears. Or so they claim.

More than any other animal, polar bears have become the poster cub for climate change.

But a group of scientists has posited another potential impact of global warming on polar bears, and it’s not nearly so adorable.

It involves you being lunch.

The paper, published this month, gets straight to the meat of the issue with its title: “Polar Bear Attacks on Humans: Implications of a Changing Climate.” The researchers represent government wildlife agencies and preservation organizations from the United States, Russia, Canada, Norway and other countries.

The higher global temperatures go, the researchers said, the more likely polar bears are to interact with humans — and possibly attack and eat them.

Well, that's a pretty straightforward message for a change. Buy Priuses and nix the clock radios or risk getting Revenant-ed by a disgruntled Coca-Cola mascot. Fear-mongering at its finest, folks.

I'm a tad confused. One minute the poor polar bears are on the verge of extinction. The next, they're forming an army to descend on the cities and eat their inhabitants. Like Tess Holliday carb loading. For a marathon run to Krispy Kreme. Mayhaps leftists should get their story straight.

The left blames climate change for everything under the glacier-melting sun. We've already been told global warming is responsible for Filipino sex-trafficking and the formation of ISIS. Climate change has even been labelled racist by Black Lives Matter. This polar bear silliness fits right in with the rest of their crazy.

It would be an understatement to call this theory a stretch. Fewer people are falling for the left's alarmist nonsense, and facts to the contrary are being discovered all the time. So, leftists resort to concocting bizarre theories like this one: rampaging polar bears devouring non-vegan truck drivers. The horror.

Absurdity like this is why the left is losing fans faster than a stoner loses brain cells. They might have better luck winning people over to their side if they ditched the scare tactics and stuck to the hard facts. But, that would require them to tell the truth about climate change, and to cease perpetuating silly myths.
