One of the left's favorite things to do is preach fire-and-brimstone sermons about climate change (see Idiot Leo DiCaprio Sounds Off Again on Climate Change. Goes Full Fascist...). It appears that progressives believe the earth is on track to become Detroit a hellish, uninhabitable wasteland. Aaaaand it's all humanity's fault. For using air conditioning and fridges, mostly. Earth-hating monsters.

Their solution? Throw out our appliances, shut off our power, and stop using our cars. Simple. But, before you decide to go full on Amish, take a look at these latest findings...

The pacing of glacial–interglacial cycles during the Quaternary period is attributed to astronomically driven changes in high-latitude insolation. Here we show that before one million years ago interglacials occurred when the energy related to summer insolation exceeded a simple threshold, about every 41,000 years.

Over the past one million years, fewer of these insolation peaks resulted in deglaciation (that is, more insolation peaks were ‘skipped’), implying that the energy threshold for deglaciation had risen, which led to longer glacials. However, as a glacial lengthens, the energy needed for deglaciation decreases. A statistical model that combines these observations correctly predicts every complete deglaciation of the past million years and shows that the sequence of interglacials that has occurred is one of a small set of possibilities. The model accounts for the dominance of obliquity-paced glacial–interglacial cycles early in the Quaternary and for the change in their frequency about one million years ago.

We propose that the appearance of larger ice sheets over the past million years was a consequence of an increase in the deglaciation threshold and in the number of skipped insolation peaks.

Translation for us non-nerds? Unplugging your clock-radio won't do squat to combat ozone depletion/global warming/global cooling/climate change. In short, these scientists have concluded that the climate change has very little to do with humans. Their theory implies that the earth has been trans-morphing for a while now and will continue to do so, no matter how few squares of toilet paper you use. So wipe on in peace.

The interesting part of all this is how this idea finds itself hardly welcomed among the "party of science." This date clearly doesn't line up with the other "facts" the left touts...

As we've seen before, when facts don't agree with the left's narrative they throw them aside faster than an unwanted fetus. Instead, go greeners simply carry on attempting to silence climate change "dissenters." Mostly by way of fascism. It's the eco-friendly thing to do.
