We're just a few hours out from the State of the Union address. Thanks to the yuge tax cuts and steady economic growth, the union is in better shape than Rocky when he fought that giant flat-topped Russian guy. If you ask leftists though, they'll tell you a different story. One of a fascist German dictator reborn as a hay-haired orange guy from Queens. Such is the tale Democrat Congressman James Clyburn is telling.

House Assistant Minority Leader James Clyburn (D., S.C.) on Monday equated President Donald Trump to Benito Mussolini while describing the state of the United States as similar to Nazi Germany and fascist Europe in the 1930s.

During a discussion with CNN’s Don Lemon, Clyburn said the current political climate is that of Germany in 1934, right after Adolf Hitler was elected chancellor.

"How do you see the State of the Union under President Trump?" Lemon asked Clyburn.

"Troubling," Clyburn said. "I can only equate one period of time with what we are experiencing now, and that is what was going on in Germany around 1934 right after the 1932 elections when Adolf Hitler was elected chancellor."

Oh my God, Trump's a Nazi?

Is there any other thing more played-out than the "Trump's a Nazi" card? Because I'm drawing a blank. In the eyes of the left, every move Trump makes merits a comparison to the Third Reich. If the Donald so much as slips into a pair of khakis, the Democrats call it a throwback to Der Führer. "Hitler wore khakis too, you know."

This perpetual "Trump's the worst" cryfest has been going on for a year-and-a-half now. Admittedly, it's been pretty amusing. Leftists could have responded to the election turnout with dignity and goodwill. Instead, they took the loss with the grace of a tween girl whose parents denied her permission to go see Ariana Grande.

Leftists think they're accomplishing something by making these comparisons. Instead, their tin-hat paranoia reminds us we made the right choice in swinging right. By all means lefties, continue to call us racists. You're just further ensuring we'll never vote your way again.
