Accidents happen. And sometimes, people make accidents happen. I can't say for sure which way it goes in this clip, where a White House adviser was saved from Jake Tapper by a camera falling over. I know what I think. But saying so aloud wouldn't make it past the stringent standards of the "independent" "fact" checkers.

We are still in the midst of a baby formula crisis. Parents need baby formula to feed their babies. Shelves are empty. The White House has been horrible in responding to it, other than to make things clear that none of this is the president's fault. Yesterday, during "The Lead with Jake Tapper," it was Director of National Economic Council Brian Deese's turn to shirk responsibility.

“The whistleblower complained in the fall, the FDA waited until December to act, waited until February to shut the plant down. President Biden wasn't told about it until April. You don't think any of that should have been done more quickly or sooner? You think everything just went exactly how it's supposed to?”

It was at the moment Deese said the FDA was going to conduct a thorough investigation, and Tapper hit back “I don't need the FDA to investigate itself to come to the judgment that they did not act quickly enough" that the camera fell over.'

Now, I'm not saying it was kicked over. Or that someone from the White House kicked it over. Or that someone from CNN kicked it over when someone from the White House gave them the signal. I would have no evidence to back it up. There is no reason to believe this wasn't a simple accident that happen at a perfect moment to save the White House.

I just don;t think it was.
