Scott Jennings says what we're ALL thinking about the government shutdown: "Hey, what's up with the current president?"
Sorry, not sorry, but I do not have the bandwidth to care about ANOTHER government shutdown-themed continuing resolution brouhaha (if I may invoke a little French). It's the same as it ever was, though apparently raising the debt ceiling may or may not be the MAGA position now. Again, while some of you are all "Chip Roy is a uniparty RINO," my brain has already gotten into the egg nog.
However, I can't help but notice that while all the focus is on the incoming president and what he is responsible, we've ALL forgotten that there is a current president. Joe Biden. Remember that guy? CNN's Scott Jennings does. And while his peers in the media are going after Elon Musk for "controlling" Trump, Jennings is wondering about the people who have been controlling (without the finger quotes) Joe Biden for the past four years.
WSJ just released a banger, How the White House Functioned With a Diminished Biden in Charge. Keep in mind, the last time the WSJ dropped a piece on Biden's cognitive decline, they were attacked by the rest of the media. Then the debate versus Trump happened, and that same media realized they had to get Biden out of the race.
"If you're worried about Trump's advisors having influence. For last 4 years, this President was not capable of fulfilling the duties of the office, and his staff and the White House lied about it and kept it from the people. It's an absolute scandal."
🔥@ScottJenningsKY torches Democrat narrative about Elon running the government and not Trump, while Joe Biden is AWOL:

Side note: We have these fights every year where GOPers complain about the spending and the hidden things Democrats sneak into a bill (like money towards a global censorship agency) but then vote for it anyway and swear it's the last time. If Elon Musk tweeting a meme is going to get apolitical people to ask, "Wait, why are we tying disaster relief and cancer funding to a 40% salary increase for Congress," I say God bless.
But he has the ear of the incoming president. The current president and/or who has what's left of his ear? Your guess is as good as mine.
Is this a 25A moment? https://t.co/FzfdZUJ9mX

Joe Biden stares blankly at the ground as he returns from Delaware for his final month occupying the White House.

Merry Christmas, everybody! And a Happy Hannukah if that's your thing. Are we getting another government shutdown this year? Meh.
