The jury is still out on the Trump hush money trial. While the judge is doing everything to make things as complicated for the jury as possible in hope they say "f*ck it, he's guilty" just so they can go home, it doesn't change the fact that up until now, the American people have yet to show they give a rip one way or the other. Even CNN was forced to admit that live on air. And you know they hate having to do so.

Opinion hasn't changed from the start to the end of the trial. 46% thought Trump did something illegal before the trial started, and 46% still think he did something illegal. They don't know what he did illegally, but it must have been something. Also, they don't care—a fact that left CNN's John Berman boo-boo-faced.

The question is WHY the American people don't care. While journalismers are obsessed with Trump, the American people have tuned the media out. Also, journalism is among the least popular institutions in America. Go figure.

Americans are more concerned with the economy and illegal immigration, two issues they've determined Joe Biden su-diddly-ucks on. Then comes election legitimacy. Then comes abortion, the issue that Democrats want to make the entire election about since unmarried women are the one group Biden is not losing ground on. "Trump's court cases" barely crack 40%. A full TWENTY-THREE points from the main issue of families struggling to make ends meet thanks to Bidenmoics.

Let's check in on John Berman.

Now it's a question of if the polls change if/when American voters hear the word "guilty." That's always been the play. Have Donald Trump found guilty of anything, even if voters don't understand why or for what.

I maintain the best we can hope for is a hung jury because the Judge has done everything he could to encourage a guilty plea, up to and including making the jury's job so difficult that they don't get a copy of the over FIFTY PAGES of instructions they need to follow.

The jury enters Day 2 of deliberation on Thursday.
