“I don’t know what that has to do with trying to prevent people from blowing up buses and trying to annihilate — that was my job, that’s what I’m speaking to on this issue,” Sexton interjected.

Oh, and also, white people understand Islam just fine.

For the last time (not really, but just until I have to say it again) Islam isn't a race. It's a religious and political ideology. Some Muslims are red-headed, even. Well, I know nobody likes them either, but work with me here. Islam=not a race. One Muslim plus another Muslim does not equal racism. Okay? Okay.

Therefore to say a "white person" cannot understand Islam is ridiculous. In fact it might even be racism. Don't think so? Flip it then. Have a white person telling any other race of person that she cannot understand because she's her race. See? Racism.

Secondly, race enters in zero in understanding that terrorists want to blow us up. All this woman was doing was deflecting. She wanted to wax on about how Islam was wonderful, how it's misunderstood. How Muslims have been marginalized. Excuse me a second...

Islam: it's a crappy religion. Islam: it is incompatible with freedom. Islam: is not the religion of peace. Islam: it sucks and you don't need to be brown to get that.
