The real adults in the room are the youth from Parkland, Florida, who are speaking out about the need for meaningful gun control laws. They are proving that civic engagement among young people can make a difference. The ironic part? They can't even vote yet.

You mean the same 16-year-olds who count eating Tide Pods among their favorite pastimes?

What does this have to do with Parkland, Florida, and the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting? In the aftermath, survivors of the tragedy have spoken out loudly against politicians' refusal to pass meaningful gun control reform.

By engaging in respectful and forceful advocacy, these youth are proving how important it is to include young people's voices in political debate.

Translated for us non-leftists, this anti-gunner is tired of losing and wants to stack the deck in his favor. Imagine a buttload of impressionable, semi-retarded younglings with ballots in their hands. Promise them some free stuff and trot out a few A-list celebs to drive the point home. Voila! You've got yourself an army of dedicated Democrats.

Next they'll be pushing to lower the voting age to the single digits. If progressives could accomplish that, turning red states blue would be as simple as promising a Tickle-Me-Elmo in every toy box and free ice cream at recess.

These days, leftists can't pick up victories on their ideas alone. So, you get bonehead proposals like this one. A thinly veiled attempt at changing the rules to suit their wants. Though, I can't say any of this is surprising.
