If nothing else, the recent debate on political correctness has helped shined a light on the "intolerance" of the "tolerant" left. People of all walks are finally starting to realize it. Count CNN's Don Lemon on that list. Lemon, besides being in the media, is also a black American and gay. Going by the usual stereotypes, you would think he'd be firmly on the side of the outrage caucus who is already reporting this post to the proper authorities.

Instead, he called out liberals for being the most easily offended and the least tolerant.

After almost 25 years in the news business, you know who is the most easily offended and the least tolerant: Liberals and progressive – because many of them don’t really want to hear anyone else’s opinion but their own. Here’s a tip, if you only agree with people who hold your same political affiliation or who are of your particular race, gender or ethnicity, you are part of the political correctness run amuck problem. You are actually thwarting progress instead of advancing.

This part is important too:

"We have to allow people leeway to make mistakes in conversations without calling them racists [and] bigots"

The fact that so many on the left disagree with that sentence most of all is the real takeaway here. Because that is what prevents us from having the national conversation about so many important issues in the country today... especially since they're the one's who always claim solely as a political weapon we need to have it.

Everyone say thank you into Don Lemon. At least, until he claims another plane fell into a black hole.
