A city council in Maryland has voted in favor of allowing resident non-citizens such as illegal immigrants to participate in local elections.

The city council in College Park, home to the University of Maryland campus, has joined six other towns that allow green-card holders, illegal immigrants and other non-citizens to vote in local elections.

The decision was reached following a 4-3 council vote, which was initially scheduled last month but was postponed.

Here's the key point.

In August, most of the residents voiced their opposition to the amendment letting all non-citizen residents to vote in local elections, but by Tuesday night, the majority wrote to the mayor in support of the proposal, Wojahn told the Post.

Right. MOST OF THE RESIDENTS oppose this. Yet four people, most likely leftist politicians, said "Nuts to y'all."

But remember, the left loves "democracy" and "all votes matter" malarkey. Except when it doesn't go their way, then they want to abolish any kind of fairness to erect little monarchies all over the country. They know best and don't you forget it, serf. Democrats don't like rules about voting. They want people to cheat. Because they're cheaters. The more people who vote for free stuff, the larger government gets. The larger government gets, the more Democrats can run campaigns akin to Santa Claus. It's a "you wash my hand and I'll screw taxpayers with legal status" kind of scenario. Google it.
